Who Am I?

Who am I?  That is the question.  Does anyone ever really know the answer?  Aren’t we all changing every second we’re alive?  Was I the same person I was ten years ago, twenty years ago?  Well, I hope not.  I have grown and changed over time, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, but I am always growing and changing.

To answer this question, I may have to look through others’ eyes to see myself as they see me.  I am a wife, a mother, a friend, a daughter, an aunt, an entrepreneur, a student, a teacher, an equestrian, a planner, a go-getter, a leader, a serious soul, a playful soul, and always a dreamer.

Maybe the better question is who would I like to be?  I would like to be a person who is recognized and applauded for their knowledge and determination, a person who takes dreams and turns them into reality, a person who inspires others to accomplish their best, a person who is looked up to by their children, a person whom others look to for answers, and a person who is appreciated for their efforts.

I am a person who would like to be involved in the equine industry in Alabama in such a way that fundamentally changes the perception of it.  It’s already happening.  Have you heard about it?  I am a person who looked status quo in the face and couldn’t remain satisfied.  I am a person who saw an opportunity to affect change for the betterment of the entire equine industry in my state.  I am a person working daily to make my dreams and the dreams of others come true.

To say that I am simply the OWNER of a business or the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of an equine association does nothing to explain who I am.  It only tells you my titles.  To know who I am is to see the results of my actions and the purpose of my resolve.  Who am I?  Watch me grow, then you will know.
