At the Alabama Horse Fair, Southern Horse Talk got the opportunity to talk with Anita Ellison, of Friends of Paul Grist State Park about the horse trails and camping, as well as about the budget cuts and funding issues affecting the park.
Paul Grist offers 11 improved campsites with electricity, water, and sewer, as well as a bath house. The park’s focus is a 100-acre lake surrounded by beautiful trails for hiking and horseback riding. They offer 20 miles of trails and day use fees are only $1 to $2 depending on your age.
